Boston’s only Thomas Lamb theatre, the Boston Opera House is a masterpiece of marble, gilt, walnut and Baroque. Closed in 1991, it was unable to stage profitable contemporary theatre. Our goal: create new, audience-grabbing facilities to help fund preservation and restoration of the old. Now equipped to handle the most challenging modern performances, the Boston Opera House is an economic catalyst for the city and a victory for preservationists and theatre lovers alike.
