Respectful deconstruction

Tearing apart a 19th century landmark is a powerful experience for an architect. It's like working alongside a past master. Seeing his structural vision... understanding his materials and aesthetic.

Combining that 19th century vision with 21st century technology-under one roof-is a large part of who we are.

The theater was built when gaslight was new. It's chandeliers, brocades and figurines. Where do you hide the lighting, scaffolding and turntables? How do you wire it for 21st century sound?

This is not about maximizing cubicle space in a new building. It's a different world. A different two worlds, where informed creative thinking is the only way to work.
